Crescent Rolls

4-5 cups flour

1 stick butter

1 cup milk

1/2 cup sugar

2 packages yeast

1/2 cup warm water

1 egg – beaten

1 teaspoon salt

In saucepan scald; butter, milk, sugar and salt.  Beat egg and slowly add to mixture and cool.  Then add yeast to warm water and add to liquid and pour over flour.  Remove dough from bowl and grease bowl.  Return dough, cover with cloth and let rise until double in size, knock down and lightly kneed dough on lightly floured board.  Tear in half and roll dough and cut into crescent.  Put on pans, cover again and let rise again.

Bake 450 degrees for about 5-6 minutes.
